The Uncertain Road

I don't know
what's coming.
I used to think
that was the problem.
Now I wonder
if that's the gift—
the open space
where nothing
has been decided yet,
where the road
doesn't end
but bends.
Certainty
is a closed door.
Uncertainty
is every door
at once.
